La Commissione elettorale indipendente riceve 2.556 denunce

AFGHANISTAN, ELEZIONI: È scaduto il 17 giugno il termine per la presentazione delle denunce di brogli, dice il portavoce della Commissione Elettorale Indipendente, Mohseni Nader. 2.556 denunce sono state presentate contro funzionari elettorali.
Oltre 664 denunce sono state depositate contro Abdullah Abdullah e 507 contro Ashraf Ghani, ha detto.

Le denunce sono state registrate in tutte le 34 province afghane: 514 denunce sono state depositate a Kabul, 115 a Kandahar, 113 a Kunduz, 104 a Herat, nove in Logar, otto in Paktika, sette in Helmand e sei nelle province di Kunar.

Dice anche che 507 ulteriori denunce sono state presentate contro funzionari governativi, tra cui i governatori, capi di polizia provinciali e distrettuali.

The Independent Election Complaints Commission (IECC) on Tuesday said 2,556 objections, most of them against election workers in the run-off vote, had been lodged.

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday said 15 individuals had cast 15,000 votes in favour of a specific candidate in northern Balkh province.

The deadline for filing complaints expired today, IECC spokesman Nader Mohseni told a news conference in Kabul. He said 991 complaints were lodged against election employees.

As many as 664 complaints were filed against Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and 507 against Dr. Ashraf Ghani, he said. The complaints were recorded in all 34 provinces.

Mohseni said 507 additional complaints were lodged against government officials including governors, provincial police chiefs and district heads.

He added 514 complaints were filed in Kabul, 115 in Kandahar, 113 in Kunduz, 104 in Herat, nine in Logar, eight in Paktika, seven in Helmand and six in Kunar provinces.

Meddling by security forces in the election process, low quality ink in some areas, threats by candidate supporters, ballot stuffing, under-age voting, taking ballot boxes to private houses and fire by irresponsible armed men are among the complaints.
